Richard Simms joined the She Media family in 2020, when he became the Executive Editor of Soaps. It's a move he'd spent years preparing for by helping launch Soaps in Depth magazine and guiding its team in the same role for nearly a quarter of a century.

Having been in love with daytime television since childhood, Richard managed to turn his encyclopedic knowledge of who was doing what to whom into a weekly column, which was syndicated by the Gannett News Service. The rest, as they say, is history.

Currently, Richard and his team are breaking boundaries and broadening their already-impressive reach by expanding beyond the confines of daytime television. When not glued to the television, he is obsessing over all things cruise-ship related.
