Ryan Nathanson is the Chief Operating Officer at SHE Media, where he oversees the day-to-day strategy and execution of the company. With over 18 years of hands-on experience in ad-tech and digital publishing monetization, Ryan contributes to a variety of disciplines across the organization, including product innovation, programmatic & direct advertising execution, strategic business development, and pricing/packaging of the company's advertising services and products. Ryan is known for his successful track record of delivering organizational success by developing innovative systems and teams into high-performing and happy contributors, which has been evidenced by SHE Media's consistent path of profitability and growth since his arrival in 2018.
Before joining SHE Media, Ryan served in a variety of strategy, execution, and editorial roles within digital media, such as the Chief Operating Officer at Salon Media Group, a publicly held digital publisher. Previously, he held individual contributor and executive offices at start up and enterprise media companies, including Vice President, Digital Strategy & Operations at Federated Media, Lin Media, Nexstar Media, and Media General, where he led digital operations, planning, go-to-market strategy, thought leadership, and all core execution teams.
Ryan is highly regarded by the industry for his innovative approach, leadership, and vision on important and transformative digital media topics. His thought leadership on these topics is continually captured by leading industry publications. Ryan has earned several accolades including being recognized as a 40 under 40 by the State University of New York, where he earned his degree in digital media management.
