Ice Cream Convos Partners with SHE Media and Grows RPM by 960% to Cross 6-Figures in Revenue

The Challenge

Xaviera Bryant’s entertainment site IceCreamConvos.com provides delicious scoops of entertainment content in a fun and respectful way. For Bryant, the guiding philosophy is to approach entertainment news with humanity and from a friendly perspective. With this unique approach to entertainment news, Bryant sought to grow the brand and produce more content that is current, relevant and provides much-needed heart to the entertainment publishing space. 

To grow and monetize Ice Cream Convos, Bryant had to work with several different advertisers and spent time handling these relationships, setting up and managing multiple ad codes all while trying to keep up with producing regular content. Despite this, their RPM stayed at a very low $5. In 2020, Bryant joined SHE Media Collective with the goal to optimize advertising efforts, achieve growth at scale, and increase revenue.

The Approach

SHE Media took over the logistical and technical aspects of monetization and advertising for Ice Cream Convos thus consolidating all monetization efforts under SHE Media’s top-tier ad technology. Through this holistic approach Ice Cream Convos immediately started to see astronomical growth.

The Results

Less than a year after joining SHE Media and running on SHE Media’s optimization and ad technology, Ice Cream Convos’s session RPM increased 960%. Ice Cream Convos Session RPM went up from around $5 in 2020 to as high as $31 by 2021. RPM has continued to climb high with the highest session RPM with SHE media at an astronomical $53.33! RPMs have been steadily high and as expected, so has revenue. Seeing the impressive success Ice Cream Convos was reaching, Bryant started to expand and even convinced her husband to quit his job and join Ice Cream Convos. Overall performance skyrocketed and so did ad revenue. Earnings for 2021 surpassed $100K, thus making Bryant a 6-FIgure blogger. As Bryant put it “SHE Media put me in a position to reach a 6-figure income.” 

Resultant high ad performance and increased revenue and continued support from SHE Media allowed space and time for Ice Cream Convos to focus on content creation, scale its reach, and increase engagement while exploring new opportunities to expand.
